As promised, today I will share with you the recipe to make a loaf of bread using the breadmaker. Since this is the first time I am sharing it with you, we will only learn to make the basic bread today. Later on, I will also share other recipes such as the banana walnut bread, strawberry bread and etc.

I had taken this recipe from here - Blog Dapur Kak Jee. Sometimes I will add sunflower seeds and also pumpkin seeds if they are available in the kitchen. So let us learn this step by step.

First of all, you must have a breadmaker. If not, you have to knead it using your bare hands. I certainly won't hahaha. As I had said in my earlier post, the brand of my breadmaker is Tesco, and the code is BM10. Lazada is also selling the same product. So why waste time and money to go to Tesco when you can order it online. You can place the order here and wait for it to be delivered to your doorstep.

Basically, these are the things that you need:

* You can measure all these with the measure cup and measure spoon that come together with the machine.

1 1/2 cup of plain water
2 TABLEspoon of oil - You can use whatever oil you have at home, since I have sunflower oil, that is what i use today
2 TABLEspoon of sugar
2 TEAspoon of salt
2 TABLEspoon of milk powder
4 cups of bread flour - It is recommended to use the Diamond brand. You can get this from the shops selling bakery supplies.
1 1/2 TEAspoon of yeast

All you have to do is add all these ingredients into the breadmaker pan one by one. Make sure you follow these sequence. Meaning that you add the liquid first, then only the dry ingredients.

Note - In whatever situations, NEVER let the yeast be near the salt. This will affect the texture of the yeast and later on the texture of the bread.

So after that, switch on the machine. Since today we are baking the basic bread, you have to choose number 1 from the menu. Then, you choose the size of the bread. I usually just choose 2 pound. The last thing to choose is the colour of the crust. There are three colours available. I always choose the dark crust, you can choose the one that suits your taste bud. And then it is time to push the start button....and go to sleep, hahaha. According to this machine, your bread will be ready in 3 hours.

See, I told you it will only take 5 minutes of your time. The rest of the job will be done by the machine.

The result after 3 hours.

Ready to slice.

Mr H was given the honour to slice, hahaha.

Bread for breakfast tomorrow, yay!

One special features of this machine is you can set the time when you want your bread to be ready. For example if it is 9 p.m. now. And you want to have your bread ready for breakfast tomorrow, by 7 a.m. So all you have to do is put in all the ingredients tonight and set the timer. And tomorrow morning when you wake up, the aroma of bread will fill in the house. Your bread will be ready by 7 a.m. sharp! Isn't it nice to have your bread hot and fresh from the oven in the morning? And you don't have to sweat at all preparing it?

I have prepared a video here showing the preparation steps. You can watch it here. Credit to Mr H who recorded it.

Next time, I will share with you other recipes as well. There are just so many thing that you can do with this one machine. So, what are you waiting for? Order yours now here.
