This is for you Fay.

I had written about to dream big before. It is always a challenge to change the impossible into something possible. But again, having dreams is free and that is the least you can do when you feel that all doors are closed to you. Dreams, can turn into reality, if you are ready to work hard for it.

Have you ever had the feeling that you want to share with others, about your dreams? About what you will be in the next few years? What kind of reactions did you receive from them after you had told them?

Two hearts!

Though many supported me when I said I wanted to write a book, even more people told me that it was not going to go anywhere. That pushed me into sending my books for digital printing which cost me quite a bomb. For your information, digital printing accepts as low as 20 copies for minimum orders. I did not dare to send my books for off-set printing in the factory because the minimum order would be 1000 copies. Even though the cost per book is cheaper but since I listened to all the nay-sayers, I was afraid to print 1000 copies as it was programmed in my brain that my books will not sell.

For your information also, I started selling my book at the end of November 2015, and by May 2016, all 800 copies that I had sent for digital printing were sold out! If only I had listened to my heart, I should have printed 1000 copies from the start.

When everyone was telling me that my books will not sell, I had doubt myself. "Maybe what they said is correct", I started to think. I am a nobody. And now I dream to be an author? I am no J.K Rowlings! Obviously! Hahaha.

I remember that the first readers were my students at UiTM Shah Alam. They had pre-booked Submitting to Allah earlier, but I thought that maybe they did that because they wanted to support me. However, I received beautiful reviews from them that I felt confident to put my books out in the market. And until today, alhamdulillah. My books had not just reached the circle of students, friends and families. They had reached to people I do not know and still I received good reviews. Some of them gave me constructive comments, and that motivated me to write my second book, Candle of the wind.

The first rule if you want to start doing something is - Never listen to the nay-sayers. They are worst than the critics. At least the critics, all they do is criticized. But the nay-sayers will constantly say that you will not be able to do what you want. And this will bring you down when you HAD NOT even started. They are not God. Obviously they do not know what will happen in the future. They don't even know what will happen the next minute. So are we. So, don't you think it is better for you to take a chance and start doing what you want to do. At least you won't be wondering for the rest of your life with the question, "What if?"

Of course, there is no guarantee you will succeed. The glass is always half full. There is no guarantee you will flop either. But determination and hard work and perseverance are the keys to success. Just hold on to that.

Some of the nay-sayers, they do not say what they wanted to say in front of you. They will just talk about it behind your back. Mysteriously, the wind will pass to you the message on what they had been talking about, hahaha. Well, there is a reason why they are at the back. Because you are in front. Trust me! Leaders always stand in front.

My favourite quote now - Work hard in silence, let your success be the noise.

So to all the nay-sayers, here is a veryyyyyy big smile from me.

I smiled at the curry me, not you! Hahaha.

Thank you. You made me want to achieve my dreams even more now!
